HWC Member Kaye Christensen

was selected as a winner in the recent NSW Seniors Writing Competition. 100 stories from NSW Seniors will be published in this Seniors’ Stories Volume 5. Kaye has been invited to attend the launch at NSW Parliament House later this year. This is one of several publications that have featured Kaye’s work. She has also been published in Sydney Newswrite magazine, Nambucca Writers’ anthology, in her local newspaper twice, local RSL Club publication about the ANZAC centenary and in MiNDFOOD magazine.

HWC Member Ellen Shelley has had a run of successes with her poetry:
It's Raining Poetry Adelaide with her poem Christchurch
Cordite Poetry Review with her poem Don’t look too closely
Highly Commended in the Philip Bacon Ekphrastic Awards for her poem Girl and the Moon
The Ross Spencer Anthology for her poem Abstract Expressionism
