AusArt Day, Thursday 22 October, is a nationwide, sector-wide fundraising initiative designed to mobilise artists and arts organisations to raise funds for their work and creative ambitions on a single, powerful day.

Help write our next chapter. This AusArt Day, help Hunter Writers’ Centre raise $10,000. Your gift keeps workshops, residencies and Lighthouse Arts open to all, so cost is never the reason someone stops creating.

This year we celebrate two milestones. Newcastle Poetry Prize turns 45, having championed generations of Australian poets. Lighthouse Arts turns five, having hosted more than 700 writers, artists and musicians at our coastal home on Whibayganba-Nobbys Headland.

This AusArt Day, every dollar you donate directly provides pathways, spaces, and opportunities to develop, support and celebrate the diverse voices of our region. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.

Then come and celebrate Five Years of Lighthouse Arts with us at our Lighthouse Arts Open Day on Saturday 24 October.

Give once, or become a monthly Story Starter. Monthly gifts let us plan ahead and say yes to more storytellers.
