At Hunter Writers’ Centre, story is at the heart of everything we do. Stories shape how we see ourselves, each other, and the world. They are powerful and we hold them with respect.

Our mission is to cultivate a storytelling and literary culture grounded in community, equity, and craft. We create pathways and spaces for people to create and share stories that entertain, reflect complexity, and deepen our understanding of ourselves, each other and the world we live in.
