Board Nomination

Board Position

Each year, at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), all Board positions (Chair, Vice-chair, treasurer, secretary, and ordinary member) are made vacant.

As part of the AGM, a new Board is voted. Any member can nominate for a position on the Board, and you can also nominate for more than one position.

This year we are also recruiting for a new Board Chair and 3 additional Board members to join our passionate team.

What will you be asked to do?

You will be expected to attend at least 3 meetings each year (a combination of face to face and zoom) as well as the AGM

A Board role involves

• Contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation
• Developing board policies and expectations for management
• Identifying and managing risks
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the organisation

 No Board or Committee experience is required (although this would be an advantage).

The Board Chair role involves

• Overseeing all Board meetings and activities
• Leading the board in the strategic direction of the organisation
• Development of board policies and expectations for management
• Identifying and managing risks
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the organisation

   

Previous Board or Committee experience is essential for the role of Chair
