Help provide access for all.

Help fund the Lighthouse Arts buggy:
A small, but mighty vehicle keeping this unique creative site accessible for everyone.

Your donation, no matter what size, makes a big difference.

Hunter Writers’ Centre is a registered charity, and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Why it matters

The Whibayganba-Nobbys headland is a beautiful but challenging site, stunning but steep. The buggy is needed to transport guests, artists, materials and visitors up to the creative, elemental space at the top.

After years of dedicated service, our second-hand buggy [a.k.a Dusty] has reached the end of her life. Your donation will help to replace her and ensure Lighthouse Arts remains an accessible, welcoming space.

The new buggy will be an all-terrain vehicle, built to handle the steep track and shifting dunes, ensuring access for years to come.

Help us reach our goal

We need $20,000 to fund a new buggy for Lighthouse Arts—the small-but-mighty workhorse of the headland.

As steady as a tugboat, this little buggy will climb sandy roads, haul cellos, ferry canvasses and convey creative cargo and people to the top of the hill.

It is essential infrastructure.

Without a buggy, the headland is out of reach to many. With a new reliable fit-for-purpose buggy, we will have the opportunity to do more than we ever have before.

Make an impact for our community

Every donation goes directly towards purchasing the new buggy will:

  • Maintain access for artists, volunteers and visitors
  • Support safe transport of cargo—artworks, instruments and supplies
  • Ensure Lighthouse Arts remain open, inclusive and connected to community.
