Aim: To introduce/re-introduce participants to aspects of writing through a series of workshops that focus on some of the more common genres.

Participants will engage in writing exercises during the course and also be given exercises to do over the week.

What to bring: lunch, writing material. Participants need to bring paper and pen as this is an active workshop.
Tutor: Diana Pearce
Diana has an M.A. in Professional Writing from U.T.S., gained after her retirement.
Before moving to Newcastle in 2016, Diana worked as a marker of writing tests/competitions by A.C.E.R., N.S.W. Global and N.C.S. Pearson for 16 years.
She also presented the Senior Peer Education program (Sydney City) and developed and presented a course in creative writing and memoir (Little Bay).
Diana’s works has been published in the UTS annual anthology, Blue Giraffe, People of the Valley, Messages from the Embers, Writers Voice and she has been a regular contributor to MOZZIE. She has won several place awards and five commendations in writing competitions around Australia.
