How could I write about the importance of truth and not tell the whole truth myself?

In February this year, Newcastle based writer Susan Francis had her memoir, The Love that Remains, released by the award-winning publisher, Allen & Unwin. Receiving critical acclaim, the book became an immediate best-seller. Publicity and marketing surrounding the book’s release was extensive and included media interviews with The Today Show, Mamamia and ABC radio, to name a few.

In this one-day workshop at Wickham, Newcastle, Susan will share with you some important information about making your memoir stand out from the crowd and offer insight into ways you can ready it for publication. With real life experience on writing and having a memoir published, let Susan help guide and inspire your process. Students will explore both the practical and creative components necessary for writing a memoir and Susan will share the benefit of her experience.

The Importance of Authenticity
There Must be Structure
