Playwriting with Hilary Bell
Date: 1st May 2021
Time: 10AM to 3:30PM
Sometimes you’re itching to start writing a play but can’t find the way into your subject. Or maybe you haven’t yet found your subject. Perhaps you haven’t written a play before, and want to know what it’s all about?
This course covers a number of entry points into playwriting, ranging from using images, finding a character through household items, adapting folktales, imagining your way into unfolding situations. You’ll finish the day with the kernels for several new plays.
Writers of any level of experience are welcome. Bring along an open mind and a sense of play.
