Do you know someone who has led an amazing life?

In 2018, Hunter Writers Centre is giving young people the opportunity to tell the story of their elders. If you are between 12 and 25 write to David at

This project asks you to interview an older person about a special object in their lives. From that interview you will write a short piece (maximum 300 words) telling the story of the person and their object.

The piece can be in any text based form.

Hunter Writers Centre will support participants by providing resources for editing, photography and design on the posters and pay you a writer’s fee at the completion of the project. Fees range from $25 t0 $100!

The pieces will be displayed at Toronto Library during History Week 2018.
