In 2018, Hunter Writers Centre gave young writers the opportunity to tell the story of their elders.
Aged 12 to 25, these writers of the future published their stories which were
exhibited at the History Illuminated Festival in September.
This project asked a young writer to interview an older person about a special object in their lives. From that interview each writer produced a short piece telling the story of the person and their object.
The writers were paid fees ranging from $25 t0 $100 and their works were displayed at
Toronto Library during History Week 2018.
