Introducing the Writer’s Craft Book Club, where writers meet to explore the art of storytelling. Join us each month as we explore books on the craft of writing and have lively discussions on the craft, art and practice of being a writer.
Connect with other writers and gain insights, enhance skills, and broaden your storytelling perspective

The inaugural book in the Writers Craft Book Club is:

The Writer's Room by Charlotte Wood
Charlotte Wood’s acclaimed interviews with a wide range of well-known writers in her online magazine The Writer’s Room Interviews have become essential reading for writers at all stages of their careers, and also pure reading pleasure for all book-lovers.
The interviews range in topic from the subject matter of the writers’ work to quite intricate—and intimate—revelations about the ways in which they approach their craft. Charlotte’s subjects are generous, fascinating and frank about the failures and successes, and struggles and joys of the writing life
‘The information provided is so rich, and there is so much honesty and intimacy here, that it feels almost wrong – like an unfair advantage – to read them.’– Magdalena Ball, The Compulsive Reader
