COURTNEY COLLINS

Courtney Collins is an author, screenwriter and producer. BIRD (Hachette 2024) is her second novel. Her first novel, The Burial, (Allen & Unwin 2012) was published in ten countries and shortlisted for numerous prizes, including the Nita B Kibble Literary Award, NSW Premier’s Literary Award for New Writing and the Stella Prize. She lived in Newcastle for many years and completed a First Class Hons Degree in English Literature at the University of Newcastle. She holds a Master of Creative Writing (University of Melbourne) and will soon submit her PhD. She presents and co-produces @areyoustillworkingpodcast
