About Stories on Tap
Stories on Tap is a quarterly storytelling night where bold ideas, fresh voices, and good beer meet. Join Hunter Writers’ Centre members and the local literary crowd for an open-mic evening of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction in a relaxed brewery setting.
Show up, share your work, discover new writers, or just enjoy the buzz of live storytelling.

What to expect
- Live readings by Hunter Writers’ Centre members. If you’d like to read, becoming a member is easy—and helps support the event.
- Open-mic sign-ups on the night (arrive early if you’d like to read)
- Pizza and craft beer from our friends at Shout Brewing Co.
- A relaxed crowd of writers, readers and story lovers.
- Free entry. Donations welcome!

Shout Brewing Co. is wheelchair accessible with tables set at appropriate heights for wheelchair users, and accessible bathrooms.
