Join us for a transformative one-day creative writing workshop designed to empower writers with tools that best suit their unique intentions. Unlike traditional writing workshops that emphasise rigid rules, this session introduces writers to alternative approaches to finding structure and voice in the creation of authentic narratives.
The day will offer strategies to help writers of all levels through crucial stages:

- How to continue?
- How to complete?
Before the workshop, participants will receive a welcome pack featuring a selection of non-essential readings and listening resources to inspire them.

COURTNEY COLLINS
Courtney Collins is an author, screenwriter and producer. BIRD, her second novel will be published by Hachette in August 2024. Her first novel, The Burial, (Allen & Unwin 2012) was published in ten countries and shortlisted for numerous prizes, including the Nita B Kibble Literary Award, NSW Premier’s Literary Award for New Writing and the Stella Prize. The Burial is currently being adapted as a feature film. Courtney holds a First Class Hons Degree in English Literature and a Master of Creative Writing. She is currently completing a PhD titled ‘Working Against Whiteness in Creative Literary Production’. She has taught creative writing in university and community settings for twenty years. She lived in southeast Arnhem Land for eight years before relocating to Gumbaynggirr Country on the Mid North Coast. She presents and co-produces @areyoustillworkingpodcast – a podcast that explores how to take your creative ideas seriously.
