Hunter Writers’ Centre is a not-for-profit incorporated association serving the stories, writers, and storytellers of the Hunter region. With a core focus on writing and storytelling, our programs include writer and artist residencies, exhibitions, and an arts store at the Lighthouse Arts precinct on Whibayganba-Nobbys headland.
We are a team of passionate and committed individuals who deliver impactful programs and strengthen the network of writers and storytellers across the Hunter region.

Expressions of Interest: Writing and Storytelling Workshops
Are you a writer or storyteller, love teaching, and have expertise to share?
Hunter Writers’ Centre is looking for expressions of interest from people interested in leading writing or storytelling workshops.
Who you are
We welcome EOIs from:

Professional, practicing writers or storytellers with a publishing record and/or teaching experience.

People who can deliver half-day, full-day, or multi-week workshops.

Facilitators available for online and/or in-person delivery (in-person options available in Newcastle or other regional Hunter towns).

Applicants based anywhere in Australia or internationally.

Creatives from diverse or underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Your workshop
We are open to all genres and storytelling artforms—pitch us your idea!
Workshops will be delivered to adult participants (18+). Flexibility in length and format is welcome.
