Volunteering for the Newcastle Poetry Prize
Curious about how writing competitions are run? Want to help behind the scenes on a national writing competition?
Hunter Writers’ Centre is seeking volunteers to help with processing the entries for this year’s Newcastle Poetry Prize, one of Australia’s most significant opportunities for poets.
About the role
This is a remote, data-entry role requiring availability from 1 December to 11 December. It’s a wonderful way to learn and give back to the community
About you
The ideal candidates are members who have access to Microsoft Office applications (specially Word and Excel) and are comfortable with remote work. Additionally, applicants cannot have entered the 2025 Newcastle Poetry Prize, and will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement prior to commencement.
